Char Post-Vintage Garments was created by people who love and appreciate things with history, and also want to create things that can become history.
We are always happy to give clothes a second life in our wardrobe, and we also respect their quality and authenticity. In addition, it is also important to us that it is environmentally friendly and responsible.
That's actually how the idea for our brand came about. — we take vintage items as a basis, giving them a second wind with our own new design. We mostly choose deadstock vintage items, i.e. those that have long been discontinued and are no longer sold by manufacturers — in addition, this means that the items have not been worn, but may have minor traces of long-term storage.
Why do we choose them? They are simply of excellent quality, wear well, and fit well. — and most importantly, thanks to the qualities just listed, they "age" rather than "wear out". This is of course very subjective, but when you buy a thing that is already 30-40 years old, it has value. On the other hand, we all have favorite things that, regardless of quality or age, become valuable to us, — but, you must admit, it's nicer when a thing is of high quality and you can wear it "until the last moment." And then, perhaps, even donate it to a museum or leave it in a family collection.
To implement our ideas, we choose the highest quality printing and embroidery options. — so that the finish is as durable and attractive as the form itself.
