About design

Before you is a vintage American base from the mid-to-late 80s.

It is silk-screened with a drawing by Pavel Livesey – “Codes of Polynesia”, which is a panel with various local symbols.

Our good friend Maria Plyatsko turned Pavlo's work into a linocut, after which she made 33 professional prints, which Pavlo signed. Therefore, each item from this drop comes with this work in the set! Moreover, after digitizing the linocut, we transferred this particular version of the drawing to the items using silkscreen printing.

As for the principle of aloha, to which both the inhabitants of Polynesia are subject and to which our work is dedicated:

• Akahai – sensitivity to the tenderness of kindness;
• Lōkahi – harmony, unity;
• Oluʻolu – the joy of acceptance;
• Haʻahaʻa – modesty of humility;
• Ahonui – steadfastness of patience.

Aloha teaches unity with the spirit. This principle is about creating strong and good relationships with the whole world. Everyone who lives by it is fascinated by this world. After all, you and the world are two parts of one whole, single space. For aloha, the personal world is not limited to your own body - and the whole world is a part of the personality and needs care and mutual understanding, not exploitation.
